If you’re looking for some healthy bites for your next party, or just to snack on, try these tasty Apple Canapes. Crispy apples topped with feta cheese, crunchy walnuts and a drizzle of honey for a hint of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 3 Gala apples
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 4 oz feta cheese
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp chopped chives
  • 3 Tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • Fresh thyme leaves, for garnish

Preparation

  • On a flat surface, cut apples into round 1/2-inch slices. Remove the seeds. Add the lemon juice to a small bowl of cold water. Dip each apple slice into the bowl of lemon water and arrange the slices on a platter.
  • Sprinkle each apple slice with some cheese, celery, chives, walnuts and pomegranate seeds. Drizzle the slices with the honey. Garnish with the thyme leaves and serve immediately.
