How we are caring for you during these uncertain times

Entering the Clinic

All patients entering the Clinic are required to have their nose and mouth covered at all times per the Governor’s order.  This can be achieved by wearing a mask, bandanna, towel, scarf, etc. in accordance with CDC Compliance.

To comply with social distancing, please do not bring a guest with you to your appointment. If you need assistance, please limit your guest to 1 person.

Remote Check-in

To help maintain social distancing, we have effectively closed our waiting rooms in the Main Building and our Pediatrics at Perkins building and implemented a new check-in procedure.  When you are seeing your physician in the clinic we ask that you remain in your car upon your arrival and call the check-in desk at (225) 246-9009. They will verify your information and check you in while you are in your car waiting.  The registration clerk will get your contact number so that the nurse can call you when the doctor is ready to see you.

Lab and Radiology Appointments

We are now offering appointments for patients that have outstanding Lab and Xray orders.  Please call (225) 246-9240 to schedule your appointment today.

Adult Patients

We are open and offering flexible hours to accommodate you.  It is the utmost importance, especially at this time, that your chronic medical conditions are addressed.  Talk to your physician to determine if it is best for you to be seen in the clinic or through a video visit.

If you have an appointment in the Clinic, we ask that you call (225) 246-9009 when you arrive for your appointment to let us know that you are here.

Pediatric Patients

As recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control, we encourage parents to bring children in for routine well-child care especially at those ages where vaccinations are given.  Vaccines are vital to protecting children from illnesses that in the past have caused widespread disease and pandemics.  For the safety of all our patients, we have separated the space in the clinic to have both well and sick exam areas.  As we continue to adapt to our new way of life, our pediatricians and staff at The Baton Rouge Clinic are here for you and your family.

If your child has an appointment in the Clinic we ask that you call (225) 246-9009 when you arrive for your appointment to let us know that you have arrived.

Respiratory Assessment Center

Patients that have been assessed and screened by their Baton Rouge Clinic physician for fever and respiratory symptoms will be seen at our Respiratory Assessment Center, located at our Urgent Care Center (adjacent to our Main Clinic next door to Albertson’s).

Procedure Testing

Patients that are scheduled for a surgical procedure must have a negative COVID-19 test prior to their surgery.  Patients will be scheduled by their physician to have this test done at our drive-thru Procedure Testing site located at our Urgent Care Center (adjacent to our Main Clinic next door to Albertson’s-look for the green procedure testing sign ). Patients must be scheduled for this test by their physician.

Antibody Testing

The Baton Rouge Clinic is now offering antibody testing.  When you are exposed to an infection, your body’s immune system is stimulated and responds to the infection by making antibodies against it. There are different types of antibodies and they act differently in helping your immune system respond to different types of infections.  Patients that have had infection with Covid-19 have developed antibodies against the virus.  These antibodies may protect you against further infection and this test will tell you whether you have developed antibodies against the virus. This test can be ordered by your Baton Rouge Clinic physician.   If you have any questions about the antibody test, please contact your physician at (225) 769-4044.
