Diabetic & Heart Healthy
With just a handful of ingredients, this high-fiber, vegan breakfast can be made in minutes. Sweet and mild, fresh figs are a great fat-free, high-calcium topping.
1 small sliced banana, frozen
1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries
1/4 cup almond milk
1 fresh large fig, sliced
1 small banana, sliced
2 Tbsp pomegranate seeds
1 Tbsp chia seeds
- In a blender, combine the banana, berries and almond milk. Purée until thoroughly combined and smooth.
- Divide the mixture between 2 bowls and top with fig slices, banana slices, pomegranate seeds and chia seeds.
