Marissa L. Windon, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Southern University 2016, and her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from Southern University in 2022.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Marissa worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) at several healthcare facilities, including MD Anderson in Houston, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Gifted Healthcare, Landmark of Baton Rouge, and as a travel nurse at several hospitals in the Baton Rouge area. She is a licensed RN and FNP in the state of Louisiana and has certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Marissa is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau, the Oncology Nursing Society, the Southern University Alumni Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Marissa is married with one daughter, and when not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
