Dr. Tolulope B. Famuyiro, is a native of Nigeria, and earned her Medical Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, College of Medicine in Nigeria in 2010, and earned her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Texas, School of Public Health in Houston, TX in 2018. Dr. Famuyiro completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Texas in 2021 and completed her Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts in 2022.
Dr. Famuyiro is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and the state of Virginia. She has been practicing medicine for more than 10 years and has a practice background that spans from Primary Care to Quality Improvement and Research both in Nigeria and the United States of America. Dr. Famuyiro is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine, the American Geriatrics Society, the American Medical Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
She holds a certificate in Healthcare Management, and has served as a Resident Committee Member for the Texas Academy of Family Physicians from 2018 – 2019, and most recently as a member of the Quality and Patient Safety Committee at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2021 – 2022. She enjoys being involved in her community and in the past has volunteered at the Houston Food Bank, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Shriner’s Children Hospital.
Dr. Famuyiro is married to Seyi and together they have two boys. She has a plethora of hobbies, which include: Archery, Baking/Cooking, Photography, and traveling. Dr. Famuyiro speaks three different languages including, fluent English and Yoruba, and basic Spanish.
