Job Summary

The PBX Phone Operator is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls through our telephone system. This role ensures calls are answered promptly, routed accurately, and handled in a courteous and professional manner to support efficient communication within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls using the PBX telephone system in a timely and professional manner

  • Route calls to the appropriate departments or individuals

  • Take accurate messages and relay them promptly

  • Handle basic customer inquiries or direct callers to the correct contact

Basic Skills Required

Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
Ability to operate a PBX or multi-line phone system
Strong listening and customer service skills
Basic computer and office equipment knowledge
Ability to multitask and stay organized

Specific Skills Required

Previous experience as a PBX operator, receptionist, or call handler
Familiarity with office procedures and directory systems
