Known affectionately as Dr. Ed by his patients, Dr. Edmund B. Vinci has been in the practice of medicine for more than three decades. Dr. Vinci attended LSU for his undergraduate studies and earned his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1973. He performed his internship at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He served as Chief Resident during his residency, completing his program in 1976. Dr. Vinci practiced Internal Medicine at Fort Polk, Louisiana during his Army tenure and entered into private practice for several years upon his discharge. He was the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal in 1979. After years of private practice, he joined The Baton Rouge Clinic in 1991 and now works in Internal Medicine.

Licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana, Dr. Vinci is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He has served as Chairman of Finance and Compliance for The Baton Rouge Clinic and has served on the Board of Directors as well as President from 1999 to 2001.

A native of New Orleans, Dr. Edmund B. Vinci and his wife and children made Baton Rouge their home. He enjoys tennis, golf, and travel in his personal life.
