Mark J. Waggenspack, MD, FAAP

Almost always seen wearing a signature bow tie, this Wichita Falls, Texas native Dr. Mark J. Waggenspack has spent almost all of his life as a resident of Louisiana, moving to New Orleans as a 1 year old so that his father could finish his pediatric training. Dr. Mark Waggenspack earned his B.S. from LSU in 1980 and his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1984. He completed his internship and medical residency in Pediatrics through LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, completing his program in 1987. Following several years of group private practice in Denham Springs and Baton Rouge, Dr. Waggenspack became a member of The Baton Rouge Clinic in 1996 when The Pediatric Group merged with the Clinic. His medical career spans nearly three decades.

He is board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. He previously served as Chief of Pediatrics at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He is licensed to practice in Louisiana.

He is married and has three adult children and calls Baton Rouge home. He is a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church Parish and the Baton Rouge Country Club. Living in south Louisiana is a great place for his many interests which include traveling, playing golf, fishing, cooking, kayaking, and last but not least, eating.
