In Observance of Thanksgiving 11/22 The Baton Rouge Clinic will be closed. Our Urgent Care Center will be open from 10am-6pm.
On Friday 11/23 The Main Clinic, New Roads, and both Pediatric locations will be closing at noon. Our Urgent Care Center will be open from 9am-9pm.
All locations will resume normal hours on Saturday, Nov. 24

Ronald L. Bombet, MD, FAAP

Pediatric Medicine

Known affectionately as “Dr. Ronnie” and with a personality that endears him to his younger patients as well as to their caring and concerned parents, Dr. Ronald L. Bombet combines a professional career with civic involvement, family time, and a myriad of personal hobbies.

A Baton Rouge native, he is a 1969 graduate of LSU and went on to earn his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1974. He performed his residency in Pediatrics through the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, completing his program in 1977. Before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic in 1997, Dr. Bombet had a long and successful career in private practice in the Baton Rouge area.

During his career, he has served as Chief of Staff and member of the Executive Committee of Baton Rouge General Medical Center, has served on the board of Women’s Hospital Pediatrics, and has served as President and Chairman of the Board of The Baton Rouge Clinic. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of the Capital Area Medical Society and the East Baton Rouge Parish Pediatric Society. He is licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana.

Dr. Ronald L. Bombet has served as past medical director of the Louisiana Council on Child Abuse and has been a member of the Stop Rape Crisis Team for the District Attorney’s Office.

He is married with four children and three grandchildren, and he enjoys family time along with hiking, hunting, travel, and exercise.
