Theresa R. Prendergast, LDN, RD, CDE
A Louisiana native, Theresa Prendergast was born in Shreveport and raised in Lake Charles. She received her Bachelor’s in Science from LSU in Baton Rouge in 1980 and upon graduation, received an Internship with Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis in 1981. After completing her Internship, Theresa returned to Louisiana to work for the Baton Rouge General Medical Center and was a contract Clinical Dietitian for River West Medical Center in Plaquemine before joining the Baton Rouge Clinic’s staff as a Clinical Dietitian and Diabetes Educator October 1992.
With over 35 years of experience in the medical field, Theresa has helped many people get on the right track to a healthier life. She is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the state of Louisiana and is a Certified Diabetes Educator. She belongs to the American Association of Diabetes Educators Organization.
A member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Theresa enjoys helping out the community by participating in Bishop Ott Shelter, the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and various fundraising events. She is married with three daughters and enjoys traveling, doing craft projects, and cooking.
