The Baton Rouge Clinic, AMC responds to cyber attack
NEWS RELEASE
July 10, 2020, (5:00 p.m.) CT/ (6:00 p.m.) ET
BATON ROUGE, La. — The Baton Rouge Clinic, AMC has experienced a cyber attack that is currently under active investigation. We want our patients to be informed and know that they can continue to get services from us. Face-to-face patient care has not been impacted and our physicians continue to care for patients at all of our clinics.
As of (5:00 p.m. – July 10 CT) the attack has affected our email and phone system and limited our lab and radiology services. Our phone services will be restored by Monday. We are working with leading IT and cybersecurity experts to recover as quickly as possible and resume full service to our community.
Guidance for patients to continue receiving services
- Patients with an active MyChart account are able to schedule appointments, view lab results, request prescription refills, send messages to their doctors, and more.
- We ask that all patients with an appointment go straight into the building upon arrival.
