Anticoagulation Clinic

The Anticoagulation Clinic is a service established to monitor and manage the medication(s) that are taken to prevent blood clots.

The Anticoagulation Clinic has trained nurses who work in conjunction with physicians who will review your blood tests and adjust your dose of warfarin (Coumadin® or Jantoven®) as well as other medications that may be needed (such as heparin shots or Vitamin K, the antidote to Coumadin®).

Services provided by our Anticoagulation Clinic staff include:

  • Coumadin® / Warfarin Management
  • Anticoagulation Bridging for Surgical and Invasive Procedures
  • Initiation of Anticoagulation Therapy
  • Warfarin Use and Safety Education
