Gastroenterologist Dr. Andrew D. Guidroz is an avid self-professed LSU sports fan, emphasizing football as a special interest among his hobbies and personal activities. A native of Hammond, Dr. Guidroz first came to Baton Rouge to attend LSU and graduated from the University in 1994. He then moved to Shreveport where he earned his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in 1998. For a while, he left his native Louisiana to perform his medical residency in Internal Medicine through the Medical College of Georgia, completing his program in 2001. He served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia through 2002 before entering into a fellowship in Gastroenterology at that location. He then returned to Baton Rouge and joined The Baton Rouge Clinic in 2005.
Dr. Guidroz is currently licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and is board certified in Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Married to Baton Rouge Clinic Pediatrician Dr. Jennifer Guidroz, the couple has two daughters. Dr. Andrew D. Guidroz enjoys spending time with his family and, as mentioned earlier, following sports, particularly those of his alma mater, LSU. He is a member of St. George Catholic Church in Baton Rouge.
