The rapidly advancing medical field of Dermatology is the specialty of Dr. Courtney M. Murphy. Joining The Baton Rouge Clinic in 2004, she brings extensive education and training to the service of her patients. Among her many areas of care, she performs cosmetic procedures in-office including Botox and fillers.

Dr. Courtney M. Murphy performed her undergraduate studies and earned a B.A. through Rhodes College in 1996 and her M.D. through the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2000. She graduated first in her medical school class, earning the highest academic rating possible. Her medical residency in Dermatology was performed at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, and her program was completed in 2004. Dr. Murphy holds a Fellowship with the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She is board-certified in Dermatology and holds licensure in Louisiana.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Murphy is a member of the Chapel Church in Baton Rouge and serves on the Board of Directors for the Dunham School in Baton Rouge. Married to Dr. Brian Murphy, Neurologist at The Baton Rouge Clinic, Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with her children and their social and academic activities. She is a native of Metairie, Louisiana.

Dr. Courtney Murphy was chosen as a Runner-Up of Baton Rouge Parents Magazine’s Family Favorite Dermatologist for 2023! She has previously won this award in 2019 and 2022! The awards are held annually through Baton Rouge Parents Magazine, and all nominations are submitted by readers around the Baton Rouge area.
