Dr. James A. Froelich, a surgeon specializing in thyroid and parathyroid surgery along with Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery, is a native of Montana and earned his B.S. from the University of North Dakota in 1992. Moving to warmer climates, Dr. Froelich earned his M.D. from the Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1997 and performed his residency in General Surgery through Tulane, completing his program in 2002.
Joining the United States Air Force, Dr. Froelich served as a General Surgeon at both Nellis Air Force Base and Bitburg Air Force Base during his years of service. Upon his honorable discharge, he joined The Baton Rouge Clinic in 2006.
Dr. Froelich is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and is licensed to practice in the state of Louisiana. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons and has served as head of General Surgery at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
Married with three children, Dr. Froelich enjoys family time and traveling among his interests.
