Dr. Jewel W. Crockett, a native of Brusly, Louisiana, has been practicing medicine for more than 20 years. Dr. Crockett earned her Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1992, and her medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine through LSU’s Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge, serving as Chief Resident from 1999-2000.

Dr. Crockett was a partner at the Internal Medicine Associates of Louisiana for 5 years, before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Internal Medicine Department in 2005.

Dr. Crockett is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana, and is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a former board member of the St. Joseph’s Academy and a current member of the Louisiana State Medical Society. Civically, Dr. Crockett currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition (BRYC), which aims to help underserved youth enter, persist in, and graduate from college and earn career-track jobs.

While not at the office, Dr. Crockett enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two children, while making time to enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling.
