Baton Rouge native, Dr. Joseph A. Larriviere, attended Tulane University where he graduated cum laude in 2008 and went on to earn his Medical Degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in 2012. Moving east down the Gulf Coast, Dr. Larriviere trained at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine where he performed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine. In 2015, Dr. Larriviere returned home to join The Baton Rouge Clinic.
Dr. Larriviere is a proud alum of Catholic High School. He and his wife, Rebecca, have five children and are members of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where he is an avid member of the MBS Men’s Club.
Away from the practice of medicine, Dr. Larriviere most enjoys traveling, golfing, coaching basketball, trying to master the art of Louisiana cuisine, and all things LSU, Saints, and Pelicans.
Dr. Larriviere also enjoys the business side of medicine, currently serving as an elected member of The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was named to the Baton Rouge Business Report’s 40 Under 40 in 2018. Additionally, Dr. Larriviere serves as a board member for several local and statewide non-profit organizations, and he is the co-founder of the Pelican Classic Charity Golf Tournament which has raised over $100,000 in need-based scholarships since its founding in 2022.
