Dr. Katherine May, a New Orleans native, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Washington and Lee University in 2001 and her Medical Degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2005. Dr. May completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS in 2008. Dr. May is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. She is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. May practiced medicine at the Sonny Montgomery Veterans Affairs hospital from 2008-2011 and joined the Baton Rouge General Hospital in 2012, specializing in outpatient medicine. On October 1st Dr. May joined the Baton Rouge Clinic Family of Physicians and is accepting new patients at the Mid City Medicine Clinic on North Blvd. in Baton Rouge.
Dr. May is married with 3 children and is a board member of the St. Elizabeth Foundation. She is also a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and is involved with St. Aloysius School. In her spare time, Dr. May enjoys art, reading, and being outdoors.
