Dr. Maureen E. Jones has been a member of The Baton Rouge Clinic since 2001, having joined our family of physicians following the completion of her medical education and residency. A graduate of LSU, she earned her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and performed her residency in Internal Medicine at LSU’s Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She is the recipient of the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation as presented by the American Medical Women’s Association and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and licensed in the state of Louisiana, Dr. Jones has been involved extensively in medical and professional organizations in the Baton Rouge area. She has served on the Baton Rouge General Medical Center Ethics Committee as well as the Baton Rouge Clinic’s Quality Improvement, Professional Liability, Osteoporosis Center of Excellence, and Childhood Obesity Committees. She is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
She is the former Chief of Internal Medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center and is the recipient of the Louisiana Medicare Quality Improvement Organization “Physician Quality” award.
She remains an active supporter of her alma mater as a member of the LSU Alumni Association. She is a native and current resident of Baton Rouge.
