Dr. Patricia DePuy Whatley was born in New Orleans but lived overseas as a child. She performed her undergraduate studies through LSU and earned her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2005. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics through the University of Alabama-Birmingham, completing her program in 2009. While at UAB, she served as Chief Resident between 2008-09 and was UAB House Staff President in that same period.
Dr. Whatley holds a license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and received training in Women’s Health. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the International Society of Travel Medicine. In her practice, she holds a special interest in women’s health, adolescent care, and travel medicine. Dr. Whatley also speaks Spanish fluently.
A resident of Baton Rouge, she and her husband who practices Dermatology have three daughters. She enjoys travel, church service, volunteering in the community, cooking, and LSU sports.
