Dr. Robert B. Taylor, a native of DeRidder, Louisiana, received his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 2008, and his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine at New Orleans in 2013. Dr. Taylor completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the LSU Health Center in Baton Rouge in 2016, where he worked as a Hospitalist at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for 2 years.

Dr. Taylor completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Florida in 2021. He was honored with the Fellow of the Year Award at the University of Florida VA in 2018, and served as Chief GI Fellow in his last year. Dr. Taylor is board certified in Internal Medicine, as well as licensed to practice medicine in the State of Louisiana. He also holds professional memberships with the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA).

Dr. Taylor is married to Dr. Katie Veron Taylor, who is the Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU and Our Lady of the Lake’s Medical Director of Infection Prevention. Together they have one child, and attend St. Jude Catholic Church. When not at the office, Dr. Taylor can be found golfing, traveling, and supporting the LSU Tigers at football and baseball games.
