Stewart T. Ramey, MD, FAAP

Fortunately for Louisiana, Dr. Stewart T. Ramey, originally from Pennsylvania but raised in Baton Rouge, decided to keep his talents in-state, becoming an LSU Tiger straight out of high school and graduating in 1982. Prior to beginning his Pediatric medical practice in 1989, Dr. Ramey earned his M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 1986 and performed his medical residency in Pediatrics through Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital in Baton Rouge, completing his program and serving as Chief Resident in 1989.

Joining The Baton Rouge Clinic in 1997, Dr. Ramey holds numerous certifications and memberships in his more than 25 years of practice in the field of Pediatrics. He is licensed in the state of Louisiana and is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. His memberships include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Capital Area Medical Society. He serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana.

Dr. Ramey is married with two children, and, when away from his practice, he enjoys golf and cooking, a great hobby to have in such a culturally rich and food-focused area as South Louisiana.
