Charlene Thompson, a native of New Orleans, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Our Lady of the Lake College – School of Nursing in 2012 and her Master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2017.

Before joining The Baton Rouge Clinic’s Pulmonology Department in 2018, Charlene worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Woman’s Hospital, and in Intensive Care and PACU at Baton Rouge General.

Charlene is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners (LANP) and the Baton Rouge Chapter of LANP in the state of Louisiana. She is a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and certified FNP in the state of Louisiana.

Charlene is a board member of her Neighborhood Association and is involved in a local Boy Scout troop. She is married with 2 children; Charlene enjoys running, reading, and cooking in her spare time.
