Dr. Meredith Pugh Rouse was born in New Orleans and grew up in Baton Rouge. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in 2011 and a Medical Degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2016. Following medical school, she returned to Baton Rouge where she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the LSU Health and Sciences Center in 2019. Thereafter, she served as Chief Resident from 2019 to 2020.
Dr. Rouse is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. She is a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP).
Dr. Rouse is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have one son. She is an alumna of St. Joseph’s Academy. She enjoys spending time with family, cooking, reading, and going to the beach.
