Said M. Mohammad, PMHNP

Said M. Mohammad obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Plattsburgh in 2005. Said obtained his Associate’s degree in Nursing in 2016, from the Christ Hospital School of Nursing, and then earned his Master’s degree in Nursing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from SUNY College at Stony Brook in 2021.

Before joining the Baton Rouge Clinic’s Psychiatric Medicine Department in 2022, Said worked as a psychiatric registered nurse for 5 years on an inpatient psychiatric unit and an inpatient substance use disorder detoxification unit at Christ Hospital in New Jersey. Said is a licensed registered nurse in the states of Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York; as well as, a licensed PMHNP in Louisiana and New York. He holds a certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse, and as a Buprenorphine Practitioner by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association (SAMHSA). Said is also a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA).

Outside of work, Said works as a tutor at Hudson County Community College for the nursing program, where he educates students in both theory and clinical lab. He also enjoys kayaking, bicycling, hiking, and eating different international foods.
