As an avid LSU fan and outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Everett Bonner lives and practices medicine in the perfect part of Louisiana. A native New Orleanian, Dr. Bonner earned his B.S. from LSU in 1992 and then went on to pursue his M.D. at the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, completing his studies in 2002. From there, he left his home state of Louisiana for a time while performing his Surgery residency at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. After completing his residency program in 2007, he earned a fellowship in Surgical Breast Oncology from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Bonner completed his fellowship in 2008 before returning home to join The Baton Rouge Clinic.

Dr. Bonner is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. He is Fellow of the Society of Surgical Oncology, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Dr. Bonner has also served on the Executive Board of the Baton Rouge Clinic and on the Board of Trustees of the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Additionally, he serves as Chairman of the Breast Committee of the Baton Rouge General and as Assistant Professor of Surgery with the Tulane School of Medicine, American University of the Caribbean and St. George’s University. Dr. Bonner is the also first physician in the Greater Baton Rouge area to perform the Hidden Scar™ advanced approach to breast cancer surgery.

A retired Lieutenant Colonel with the Louisiana Army National Guard, Dr. Bonner is a Veteran of the Iraq War serving as a combat surgeon. He and his wife have three children and live in Baton Rouge.
