Patrick Gary Jones, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician with deep roots in North Louisiana. A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and LSU Health Shreveport, Dr. Jones was the first resident to complete LSU’s Family Medicine program at the former E. A. Conway Hospital. He began his private practice in Monroe in 1985.
In 1994, Dr. Jones and a group of physician colleagues founded Vantage Health Plan, later establishing Affinity Health Group. Under their leadership, the organizations grew to employ approximately 1,300 people in the Monroe area and played a significant role in revitalizing several historic downtown properties. Vantage Health Plan was acquired by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana in 2019. In 2024, Affinity Health Group joined The Baton Rouge Clinic, expanding access to resources and specialty care throughout Northeast Louisiana.
Dr. Jones and his wife, Sissie, are active members of St. Matthew Church in downtown Monroe. They have four children and 12 grandchildren. Dr. Jones credits the people of Monroe for making the community a wonderful place to live, work and build a business.
